Steward

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Steward to join our team at Film Nagar Cultural Center. The Steward plays an essential role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our dining and kitchen areas. This individual will work closely with other kitchen and service staff to ensure a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety. Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Sanitization:

• Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, dishes, and glassware.
  
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and storage areas.
  
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly maintained.
  

• Dishwashing & Kitchen Support:

• Operate dishwashing machines efficiently.
  
• Assist with basic food prep tasks, as required.
  
• Assist kitchen staff in maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
  

• Stock & Inventory Management:

• Assist with the organization and storage of food, beverage, and kitchen supplies.
  
• Ensure all dishes and kitchen equipment are properly stored after use.
  

• Adhere to Safety & Hygiene Standards:

• Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, including handling of cleaning chemicals and other materials.
  
• Regularly check the cleanliness and hygiene standards of all kitchen equipment and workstations.
  

• Team Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
  
• Assist in setting up or breaking down kitchen equipment during shift changes.
  

• Waste Management:

• Properly dispose of kitchen waste and follow recycling and waste disposal protocols.
  
• Ensure trash and recycling areas are kept clean and organized.
  

Requirements:

• Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  
• Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, or customer service role is a plus.
  

• Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items.
  
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  

• Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift, carry, and move objects as required by the job.
  
• Ability to work in hot, humid, or noisy environments.
