Job Title: Steward / Service Associate

Department: Food & Beverage – Operations
Location: Daryaganj Restaurant
Reporting To: Restaurant Manager / Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

The Steward is responsible for delivering excellent guest service by ensuring timely food & beverage service, maintaining cleanliness standards, and supporting smooth restaurant operations while upholding Daryaganj Hospitality’s service values and brand standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service

• Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating
• Present menus and provide accurate information about dishes, ingredients, and ongoing offers
• Take food and beverage orders clearly and relay them to the kitchen/bar
• Serve food and beverages promptly as per service standards
• Ensure guest satisfaction and handle basic guest queries or complaints politely

Table & Restaurant Maintenance

• Set up tables before service and clear tables after guests leave
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area, service stations, and equipment
• Ensure cutlery, crockery, and glassware are clean and properly arranged
• Follow hygiene, grooming, and food safety standards at all times

Operational Support

• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for smooth service
• Assist seniors and supervisors during peak hours
• Support billing process and ensure correct order delivery
• Follow opening and closing duties as assigned

Compliance & Standards

• Adhere to company SOPs, service etiquette, and grooming standards
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and teamwork

Skills & Competencies

• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Basic knowledge of food & beverage service
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and grow in hospitality

Educational Qualification

• Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass
• Hotel Management / F&B Service certificate preferred (not mandatory)

Experience

• Fresher or 0–2 years of experience in restaurant/hotel service
• Experience in casual or fine-dining restaurants will be an added advantage
