Job Description

Role Objective:

To drive sales, distribution, and market expansion of Tarpaulin and Thappi products in the assigned state by managing sales teams, building dealer/distributor networks, and achieving revenue & profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Tarpaulin & Thappi .
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and penetration.
  • Identify new business opportunities, institutional clients, and government tenders. 2.

    Dealer / Distributor Network Management

  • Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, and retailers across the state.
  • Ensure smooth supply chain, stock availability, and secondary sales growth.
  • Monitor dealer performance, credit management, and relationship building.
  • 3.

    Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of Area Sales Managers / Territory Sales Officers.
  • Monitor sales productivity, provide guidance, and conduct regular reviews.
  • Set targets, track KPIs, and ensure team motivation & retention.
  • 4.

    Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Track competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and product positioning.
  • Gather customer feedback and suggest product improvements.
  • Prepare MIS reports on sales performance and market trends.
  • 5.

    Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing structures, and discount norms.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, logistics, and accounts team for smooth operations.
  • Manage receivables and ensure timely collections.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong sales & marketing experience (preferably in Tarpaulin, Thappi).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate large sales teams.
  • Strong market knowledge of rural & semi-urban areas.
  • Analytical mindset with good MS Excel / MIS reporting skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in sales & marketing, with at least 58 years in a leadership role at state level.
  • Experience in

    Tarpaulin, Thappi, Plastic Products or similar industry

    will be an added advantage.
