As a State Head Merchant Credit (South) based in Bangalore, covering Southern Region including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Kerala, you will play a crucial role in leading and scaling the Merchant Credit B2C business across the southern states. Your responsibilities will include achieving targets for merchant acquisition, credit disbursal & portfolio growth, overseeing risk evaluation, compliance adherence & documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement credit strategies, monitoring KPIs such as portfolio growth, delinquency rates & customer retention, driving process efficiency & automation, building & managing a high-performing sales & operations team, and developing relationships with key partners, channels & merchant associations across the South. Key Responsibilities: - Lead & scale the Merchant Credit B2C business across the southern states. - Achieve targets for merchant acquisition, credit disbursal & portfolio growth. - Oversee risk evaluation, compliance adherence & documentation across states. - Collaborate with product, risk, technology & operations for credit strategy implementation. - Monitor KPIs such as portfolio growth, delinquency rates & customer retention. - Drive process efficiency & automation in merchant credit operations. - Build & manage a high-performing sales & operations team across multiple cities. - Develop relationships with key partners, channels & merchant associations across the South. Requirements: - 7-10 years of experience in merchant credit, lending, or MSME/BFSI business with leadership/regional exposure. - Deep understanding of credit assessment, underwriting & merchant ecosystems. - Proven track record of achieving aggressive business & portfolio targets at a multi-state level. - Strong leadership, stakeholder management & communication skills. - Proficiency in data analysis, MS Excel & digital credit platforms. - Willingness to travel extensively across southern states.
