Transportation Planning & Execution: Plan and coordinate daily dispatch schedules for cement, clinker, and other materials. Ensure optimal vehicle utilization and route optimization. Manage both inbound and outbound transportation activities. Fleet Management: Oversee third-party transporters and/or company-owned fleet. Monitor vehicle availability, maintenance, and compliance with RTO regulations. Track vehicle movement using GPS and other tracking tools. Cost Control & Budgeting: Negotiate contracts and rates with transporters. Control transportation costs through efficient planning and vendor management. Maintain transport cost reports and ensure adherence to logistics budgets. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with sales, dispatch, plant, and warehouse teams for smooth operations. Ensure timely dispatch of products to dealers, stockists, and project sites. Handle urgent delivery requirements and exceptions. Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely documentation (e.g., LR, invoice, e-way bill). Comply with government transportation regulations, safety standards, and legal norms. Ensure adherence to company policies for driver conduct and vehicle safety. Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report KPIs like OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), turnaround time, transit damage, etc. Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements. People Management: Supervise drivers, loading staff, and third-party logistics partners. Ensure proper training and safety orientation for transport staff. Resolve conflicts and address performance issues. Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field. MBA in Logistics is a plus.
