Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager who can own end-to-end technical delivery and manage an existing engineering team, allowing the current leadership to focus on architecture, strategy, and business alignment.

The ideal candidate has a strong hands-on background, proven AWS delivery experience, and the ability to lead, mentor, and drive execution across backend, cloud, and deployment workflows.

This is not a purely managerial role—the candidate must be technically strong enough to review designs, guide engineers, unblock issues, and ensure production-grade quality.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Take ownership of day-to-day technical execution across multiple projects
• Translate high-level architecture and business requirements into clear technical tasks
• Review and validate:
• System designs
• API contracts
• Cloud architectures
• Deployment strategies
• Ensure scalable, secure, and cost-optimised AWS solutions

AWS & Cloud Ownership

• Lead delivery of applications on AWS, including:
• EC2, ECS / EKS
• S3, RDS / Aurora, DynamoDB
• Lambda, API Gateway
• IAM, VPC, Security Groups
• CloudWatch, logging & monitoring
• Ensure best practices around:
• Security
• Cost optimisation
• High availability
• Backup & disaster recovery

Team Management & Mentoring

• Manage a team of backend, frontend, and DevOps engineers
• Conduct:
• Task planning & sprint execution
• Code reviews
• Technical mentoring and knowledge sharing
• Act as the first point of escalation for technical issues
• Help improve engineering productivity and quality

Process & Quality

• Drive engineering best practices:
• Clean code
• Documentation
• Testing strategies
• CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure timely delivery without compromising system stability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align delivery timelines and expectations

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience
• 3–5+ years in a Technical Lead / Engineering Manager role
• Proven experience delivering production systems on AWS
• Experience managing live systems with real users and SLAs

Technical Skills

• Strong backend experience (Java / Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar)
• Solid understanding of:
• Microservices architecture
• REST APIs
• Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL)
• Strong AWS fundamentals with hands-on delivery experience. Azure and GCP are nice to have.
• CI/CD, Docker, and cloud deployments
• Ability to read, review, and guide code

Leadership & Communication

• Ability to take responsibility.
• Strong communication skills with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable making technical decisions and standing by them
• Mentorship mindset—raises the bar for the entire team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
