About the Role
The Senior Indirect Tax Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing indirect tax compliance for Servicenow. You will partner with cross-functional teams across EMEA and APAC to and implement tax technology solutions to ensure accurate VAT/GST reporting and drive process improvements
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Indirect Tax Analyst with a strong focus on indirect tax technology and innovation. This role is ideal for individuals who have hands-on experience developing, implementing, or optimizing tax technology solutions specifically for indirect tax (such as VAT, GST, or similar regimes). The right candidate will demonstrate an aptitude for building and scaling tax technology tools such as Alteryx, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Power BI, ERP tax engines and e-invoicing platforms and will be able to bridge tax domain knowledge with technical solutions to drive operational excellence.
A solid understanding of the basics of indirect tax is required. However, extensive backgrounds in compliance management, litigation, or traditional tax advisory are not mandatory for this role. Key Responsibilities
- Building technology solutions to automate manual processes
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of indirect tax operations.
- Partner with finance, IT, and legal teams to design, configure, and roll out tax technology tools (e.g., ERP tax engines, e-invoicing platforms).
- Monitor legislative changes and perform impact assessments for new indirect tax regulations.
- Support external audits and tax authority inquiries, coordinating with external advisors where necessary.
- Prepare detailed analysis and reports for senior management, highlighting key risks, opportunities, and performance metrics.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on technical questions and career development.
Hard Skills
- Basic knowledge of VAT/GST legislation and cross-border transactions
- Proficiency in tax compliance software such as Vertex, Avalara, or Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE.
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, and data visualization.
- Experience configuring and testing indirect tax rules in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Data analysis and reconciliation techniques to validate tax data integrity.
- Project management capabilities, including scope definition, stakeholder management, and delivery within timelines.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Technology, Taxation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in indirect tax technology, ideally within a multinational software or technology company or Big 4.
- Knowledge of VAT/GST rules across EMEA and/or APAC jurisdictions.
- Proven track record of leading indirect tax process improvement and tax technology projects.
- Strong understanding of ERP tax modules and experience with at least one major tax automation tool.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and translate them into practical technology solutions.
