Job Title : Senior Safety Officer Experience : Minimum 5 Years Location : Gandhidham Industry : Manufacturing Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Safety Officer to lead safety initiatives at our project/site. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and minimize risks across all operations. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections , safety audits , and risk assessments . Implement and maintain compliance with local, national, and client HSE regulations . Lead and conduct incident investigations , root cause analyses, and prepare corrective action plans. Develop and deliver safety training programs , toolbox talks, and safety inductions for staff and contractors. Enforce Permit to Work (PTW) systems and ensure safe work practices for high-risk activities (e.g., working at heights, confined space, hot work). Maintain up-to-date HSE documentation , including reports, records, and safety statistics. Promote a strong safety culture by proactive engagement and regular safety meetings. Coordinate with client and project managers for site-specific safety protocols. Manage the usage and maintenance of PPE and other safety equipment. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and safety management systems. Ability to manage safety on large-scale or high-risk industrial sites. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Qualifications Graduate/Diploma in Engineering or Science (preferred).
