Sr. Purchase Manager

The ideal candidate for this position should have prior experience working with Builders, Construction, or Real Estate industry. As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for liaising with engineers, site supervisors, and other relevant personnel to ensure the right amount of inventory is maintained at all times. Your key responsibilities will include floating tenders, conducting meetings, finalizing contracts, and rolling out purchase orders for procurement of construction material and equipment. You will be in charge of managing the material flow, considering both current and future inventory needs. This will involve managing a pool of vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to obtain the best possible quotations for various construction materials. You will also be responsible for assessing the performance of current vendors/subcontractors, as well as building a network of new suppliers based on cost and quality considerations. Additionally, you will be required to carry out contract negotiations with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the best cost and quality for the organization. Compliance with all local and company construction/building guidelines will be essential. You will also need to prepare various reports to track inventory management, expenses, and other relevant data for analysis and decision-making within the ERP system. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience in the Purchase function within the Real Estate sector. Exposure to managing the entire purchase lifecycle including planning, negotiating, strategizing, and executing is mandatory. Experience in the real estate/construction industry will be considered desirable. Proficiency in computer skills and readiness to work with ERP systems is essential. Familiarity with the local Hindi dialect, in addition to English, will be an advantage. This is a full-time position with day shift hours.
