Sr Process Associate -US Mortgage

Job Title: Mortgage Processor / Underwriter – U.S. Mortgage Operations

We are a fast-growing U.S. mortgage processing company with a global presence. Our Indian office, located in Technopark Kollam, supports end-to-end mortgage operations for U.S.-based lenders and brokers. We are looking for experienced professionals in Mortgage Processing and Underwriting who are ambitious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities

Mortgage Processor

• Review loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with loan officers, borrowers, and third parties to gather required information.
• Order and track appraisals, credit reports, title, VOEs, and other documentation.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. mortgage regulations and company policies.
• Maintain pipeline management and timely loan file submission.

Mortgage Underwriter

• Review and analyze credit, income, asset, and collateral documents.
• Assess borrower eligibility in line with U.S. agency and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA).
• Issue underwriting decisions (Approve, Suspense, Deny) with clear conditions.
• Mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with company, investor, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with processors and loan officers to resolve file conditions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in U.S. Mortgage Processing and/or Underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. mortgage guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in LOS systems (LendingPad, Encompass, Calyx, Arive, or similar) is a plus.
