Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Safety & Health:

  • Effective Implementation of org. Safety Management Systems.
  • Effective Implementation of Risk Assessment at site and identification of Critical Safety, Health and Environment Risks and put controls in place.
  • Tracking Projects related to Infrastructure Upgradation related to Safety Health and Environment.
  • Ensure effectiveness of System for Reporting of Accident incident, reporting investigation and track closer of corrective and preventive action and Horizontal Deployment of Corrective and Preventive Actions.
  • Monitor effectiveness of Contractor Safety Management System at site.
  • Monitor effectiveness of Basic Safety System like Permit To Work, LOTOTO, Contractor Safety, Management of Change, Chemical Safety etc.

Fire:

  • Ensure On Site Emergency Plan is updated based on key significant Safety Heath and Environment Risks and have plan for Periodic Drills and monitoring effectiveness of closure of observations.
  • Ensure necessary Firefighting system is always kept in readiness state through periodic inspections.

Inspections and Audits:

  • Ensure Daily Inspections of Critical Risk Areas of the site and ensure necessary controls are effectively implemented.
  • Monitor and ensure Compliance to developed system of Statutory and Non-Statutory Inspections are effectively implemented at sites.
  • Ensure conductance of Internal and External Audits as per plan and track closure of all observations and its effective and timely closure.

Environment:

  • Measurement and monitoring of Environment Parameters related to Air water and waste at site. System for identification of key Significant Risks at Sites and OCP including loss of containment
  • System for effective maintenance and functioning of Pollution Control Equipments
  • Compliance to Requirements related to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems and observations and documentation.

Statutory

  • Compliance to applicable statutory licenses and its conditions.
  • Ensure tracking of Licenses applicable its renewal.
  • Ensure all mandatory Returns as per Rules are completed in timely manner at sites
  • Compliance to mandatory Legal Compliance logging through Legasis
  • Ensure timely Reporting of Safety Health and Environment Performance and reporting as part of month report.
  • Ensure timely closure of observations and submission of compliance related to all Statutory Visits, Communications etc

Sustainability

  • Bringing improvement in Sustainability Performance through approach of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 12 to 18 years experience with minimum 10+ yrs of experience with exposure to multiple sites. Team handling experience.
  • Having exposure in working in Chemical/O&G/ Petrochemical/ FMCG industries with handling exposure of hazardous chemicals. (Flammable/Toxic/Reactive etc.)
  • Exposure in Environment, Sustainability
  • In depth expertise in EHS legal aspects
