Sr Manager - DBA

Summary:

1) The candidate will be supporting the Database Production Operations of the SFMS applications.
2) The candidate should have the skill to mentor the team and work paralelly.

Experience:

1) Candidate should have strong 10+ years of experience as Senior database administrator
2) On software RDBMS like, Oracle DB, Postgres. 3) Windows and any one of the UNIX environments (AIX/RHEL). 4) Experience in leading, managing and directing a team of people to deliver results.

Knowledge:

Candidate should have good knowledge of Windows and any one of the UNIX environments (AIX/RHEL).
1) Sound knowledge of Oracle databases on RAC platform with hands on experience with design, development, and implementation in a large enterprise. 2) Solid hands-on experience with Oracle RAC database management and support. 3) Hands on experience with database security and database encryption. 4) Expert level knowledge of database auditing, audit logging, creating benchmark for audit points. 5) Expert level knowledge of user access management and database privileges.  6) Hands on experience with deploying database security patches and remediation of database vulnerabilities. 7) Hands on experience with installation, configuration and maintenance for Oracle 12c/19c RAC and 12c/19c ASM. 8) Sound knowledge about RMAN backup/recovery experience on very large databases.  9) Sound knowledge is required with Oracle performance analysis using several tools Statspack, SQL tracing, AWR, ASH report etc  10)Responsible for building, implementation, configuration, managing, documenting, and tuning PostgreSQL 11 and above database with Redhat Linux. 11)Support PostgreSQL databases through the development and production lifecycles with related operational teams. 12)Provide PostgreSQL database solutions reviews and advises within company policies; Troubleshoot and resolve PostgreSQL database related items.  

Responsibilities:

1) Minimum 10 years of DBA working experience building, deploying, and administering distributed Oracle DBMS, Oracle OEM, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM and PostgreSQL. 
2) Sound knowledge of Oracle databases on RAC platform with hands on experience with design, development, and implementation in a large enterprise. 3) Solid hands-on experience with Oracle RAC database management and support. 4) Hands on experience with database security and database encryption. 5) Provides sound advice and/or acts in a lead capacity on operational system / applications planning, performance, availability, integration, operations support and release / deployment management. 6) Works independently and/or autonomously on a diverse range of tasks / operational support of solutions and is relied upon to coach/ educate others 7) Expert level knowledge of database auditing, audit logging, creating benchmark for audit points. 8) Expert level knowledge of user access management and database privileges.  9) Hands on experience with deploying database security patches and remediation of database vulnerabilities. 10) Hands on experience with installation, configuration and maintenance for Oracle 12c/19c RAC and 12c/19c ASM. 11) Sound experience with the building, configuring, monitoring, and implementation of Oracle DataGuard technology along with Oracle Goldengate Replication tool 12) Sound knowledge about RMAN backup/recovery experience on very large databases.  13) Sound knowledge is required with Oracle performance analysis using several tools Statspack, SQL tracing, AWR, ASH report etc  14) Solid hands-on experience with experience in troubleshooting and resolving urgent/critical incidents on production systems.  15) Experience is required with Python, Perl, and UNIX shell scripting.  16)Responsible for building, implementation, configuration, managing, documenting, and tuning PostgreSQL 11 and above database with Redhat Linux. 17)Support PostgreSQL databases through the development and production lifecycles with related operational teams. 18)Provide PostgreSQL database solutions reviews and advises within company policies; Troubleshoot and resolve PostgreSQL database related items. 19) Experience with performing backup and recovery for both application tablespaces and catalogue tablespaces  20) Able to provide expert knowledge in the development of an enhance database service.
