Job Description

As a Litigation Manager in our real estate and construction company, your role involves managing all litigation cases related to real estate and construction, including civil suits, RERA disputes, arbitration, consumer complaints, land acquisition disputes, and regulatory matters. Your responsibilities include: - Drafting and filing pleadings such as plaints, written statements, rejoinders, affidavits, and legal notices. - Representing or assisting in representation in courts, tribunals, and arbitration forums. - Monitoring case progress, court dates, and ensuring timely filings. You will also be responsible for coordinating with external advocates and legal firms for specialized litigation support. This includes providing case briefs and necessary documents, reviewing legal opinions and proposed strategies, as well as monitoring and evaluating external counsels" performance and billing. Engaging in pre-litigation settlements and dispute resolution processes, including mediation and arbitration, is another key aspect of your role. You will be drafting settlement agreements and overseeing their implementation. Your legal advisory responsibilities will involve advising internal stakeholders on litigation risks and legal implications of ongoing disputes. You will need to identify potential legal issues in contracts and project dealings that may lead to disputes. In terms of documentation and reporting, you will maintain detailed litigation files, including court orders, case documents, and correspondence. Additionally, you will prepare periodic litigation reports and updates for senior management. **Required Skills & Competencies:** - Strong knowledge of real estate and construction laws, civil procedure, RERA, arbitration, and dispute resolution mechanisms. - Experience handling litigation matters in courts, tribunals, and arbitration forums. - Excellent drafting and advocacy skills. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously. **Experience Required:** 5-8 years **Qualification:** LLB/LLM; enrolled with the Bar Council preferred In addition to a challenging role, we offer benefits such as cell phone reimbursement, health insurance, and provident fund.
