Sr Java Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with 7–9 years of overall experience and 4–6 years of strong core Java development experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with both Oracle JDK and OpenJDK, and be capable of leading efforts to migrate Java applications from Oracle JDK to OpenJDK.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable Java-based applications.

• 
  Lead the migration of existing systems from Oracle JDK to OpenJDK, ensuring compatibility and performance.

• 
  Analyze and resolve technical issues, particularly those arising during JDK migration.

• 
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Architecture to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

• 
  Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

• 
  Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.

• 
  Stay current with Java ecosystem developments and advocate for best practices.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 
  7–9 years of overall IT experience with 4–6 years in core Java development.

• 
  Proficient in Java SE, Spring / Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.

• 
  Solid experience working with Oracle JDK and OpenJDK.

• 
  Proven experience in migrating applications from Oracle JDK to OpenJDK.

• 
  Good understanding of Java performance tuning and memory management.

• 
  Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and version control (Git).

• 
  Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.

• 
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• 
  Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• 
  Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• 
  Knowledge of application servers (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss).
