Sr / Finance Associate (Pune/Mohali) RTR

As an Accountant/Sr. Accountant in Zeni, a full-service finance firm utilizing AI & ML for startups and small businesses, your role involves critical responsibilities and qualifications: Role Overview: At Zeni, you will be a crucial part of delivering 100% accurate accounting services to clients while working closely with AI and Finance Experts. Your role will require a strong understanding and application of US GAAP, particularly in SAAS accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and convertible debt. Proficiency in Quickbooks is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Quickly grasp accounting concepts and pronouncements - Ensure accurate and timely reporting of investor requirements and debt covenants - Properly apply accounting pronouncements to partner/affiliate, sales, and vendor contracts - Manage multiple clients at different revenue stages - Perform Equity recons, balance sheet schedules, P&L trending analysis, and full cycle month-end close - Confirm transaction accuracy and completeness - Proactively anticipate and resolve client requests - Collaborate with team members and assist whenever necessary - Adhere to timelines and SLAs provided by accounting managers - Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are a must - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite required Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - 3-5 years of relevant experience - CPA/MBA/MCOM, Accounting or Finance concentration preferred - Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP in SAAS accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and convertible debt - Ability to interpret and apply PCC pronouncements and guidelines - Experience with high-tech startups and Quickbooks Online, Expensify, Bill.com, and Gusto is advantageous - Experience in due diligence preparation and external audits - Strong time and priority management skills Additional Details: Zeni is a dynamic finance firm with offices in Palo Alto, USA, Pune, and Mohali, India, offering a collaborative work environment.
