Job Description: Assistant Manager MIS (Operations Finance & Analytics)

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager MIS (Operations Finance & Analytics) supports operational and

financial discipline by driving MIS governance, billing accuracy, cost-control analytics, and

margin improvement. The role provides end-to-end data support to the Senior Vice

President Operations through advanced reporting, dashboards, and financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare MIS reports: Unbilled, DSO, Invoice tracker, RevenueCost, and Utilisation

reports.

  • Maintain accuracy and timelines in all operational MIS.
  • Ensure billing governance and eliminate revenue leakage.
  • Analyse manpower, material, and machinery cost deviations.
  • Create dashboards in Excel & Power BI.
  • Highlight risks in expenses, deployment, and SOW deviations.
  • Support audits, budget preparations, and cost-optimisation drives.

Margin & Cost Analysis

  • Maintain account-wise gross margin dashboards.
  • Identify margin leakage: manpower excess, consumable overuse, idle machines.
  • Recommend weekly action points to improve profitability.
  • Conduct cost variance, sensitivity, and scenario analysis.

Dashboarding & Automation

  • Build Excel dashboards using Pivot, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index-Match.
  • Build Power BI dashboards using DAX, modelling, drill-down KPIs.
  • Automate repetitive MIS tasks.
  • Improve reporting TAT through data automation.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Work with Finance, SCM, HR, and Operations to align data.
  • Support new transitions, proposals, and audits.
  • Validate SOW, contract terms, PO values, and SLA-linked billing.

Qualifications

  • ICWA / CMA (Mandatory) or Cost Accounting Graduate.
  • 47 years of MIS, costing, analytics, or operations finance experience.
  • Experience in FM/Manufacturing/Services preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query, What-If Analysis).
  • Power BI (DAX, dashboard design, data modelling).
  • ERP proficiency.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills.
