Job Description

Position: Executive / Sr. Executive Finance

Location:

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Operations

  • Manage day-to-day finance and accounting activities in a manufacturing set-up.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of all financial transactions.

Purchase & Vendor Accounting

  • Handle end-to-end accounting of domestic purchases, imports, and services in SAP.
  • Manage vendor invoices, reconciliations, and ensure payments as per defined cycles.

Contractual Services & Compliance

  • Oversee accounting of services (HR, Admin, Operations) per agreements/contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax laws, and statutory regulations.

Capex, Asset & Costing Management

  • Administer end to end capital purchases accounting asset capitalization, transfers, retirements, and disposals.
  • Support costing activities and plant level financial analytics, including P&L and Balance Sheet GL analysis.

Payroll, Reimbursements & Employee Accounts

  • Manage payroll accounting and statutory compliance related to employee wages.
  • Verify payroll inputs, reimbursements, and employee-related financial entries.

Analytics & Decision Support

  • Perform data-driven analysis of plant financials, including cost trends, variance analysis, and budget vs. actuals.
  • Prepare dashboards, MIS reports, and provide actionable insights to management for cost optimization and profitability.
  • Use financial data analytics to support strategic decisions and operational improvements.

Month-End Closing & Audit Coordination

  • Carry out month end activities such as accruals, provisions, and financial schedules.
  • Coordinate with auditors (internal and external) ensuring timely closure of audit requirements.

Stakeholder Interaction

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Admin, HR, Supply Chain) on finance-related matters.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders (vendors, auditors, consultants) to ensure smooth financial operations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping background in a manufacturing plant setup.
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP ERP (FI, MM, and related modules).
  • Knowledge of costing, capex, asset management, and payroll accounting.
  • Experience in financial analytics, MIS reporting, variance analysis, and dashboards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across departments and stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset, detail-oriented, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
