Sr. Engineer Electrical: Hot Rolling Mill-Viraj

Role & responsibilities

Should make a visit to all Electrical Panel Rooms, Basement areas, Transformer rooms, HT panel Rooms, once during Shift hours and Report to H.O.D if any abnormalities are found.

Should check & load proper Recipe & settings during every section change

Should inspect all power transformers & note down it's temp.data in every shift

Should take trial of DG, check battery & note down it's status in every shift

Should check & inspect SRM HT panel room, battery & it's charging status,charging current in every shift.

Should check APFC panel & maintain power factor according to load by switching ON/OFF of individual cubicles.

Should check, inspect Induction heater panel & ensure no cooling water leakage inside the panel in every shift.

Should check, inspect Induction heater bus bars, coils & ensure no cooling water leakage in it in every shift.

Preventive maintenance to Idle Equipment's during Mill running time & Other Equipment's in Mill Idle time (Section / pass Change etc.) As planned.

Should Inform H.O.D immediately if any Electrical Breakdown persists for more than 10 minutes.

Should perform Shift checks and fill the data in Check List.

Update Preventive maintenance Records without fail whenever you performed Preventive Maintenance to Equipment's in their respective shifts.

Should maintain all Electrical & process measuring Instruments in good condition. Report to H.O.D if any Instrument is not functioning properly or missing.

Should Record all necessary Data related to any Breakdown / Modification in PC.

Equipment History Records in Personal computer as per the area assigned.

Should Monitor ECR, All Pulpit Air conditioners for proper functioning.

Should handover Multimeter’s, Clamp meters, Thermometer & shift key to the next concerned shift Engineer by writing and mutually signed in Logbook in every shift without fail.

Preferred candidate profile

Should be Graduate Engineer in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering having works experience in Hot Section Rolling Mill will be preferred.
