Job Description

As a Credit Analyst at Candi, you will play a crucial role in leading the revolution of solar energy in emerging markets. Your primary responsibility will be to assess corporate credit risk, conduct in-depth financial analysis, and provide key insights to support decision-making processes. Here's a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Dealing with various qualities of financial information, analyzing financial statements, identifying risk factors, and calculating key ratios. - Conducting research on industry competitive environments and risks. - Making informed decisions in situations with limited information and providing solid justifications. - Evaluating corporate credit risk, rating corporates, and preparing concise credit notes outlining identified risks and mitigating factors. - Performing KYC and background checks on companies and individuals, and advising the sales team on the adequacy of counterparties. - Providing training to other departments on risk issues to establish a company-wide sentiment for risk appetite and adoption of a portfolio risk view. - Staying updated on economic and industry developments, networking with financiers and risk rating agencies in the market. - Supporting the Head of Credit in advancing and improving in-house risk tools. Qualifications required for this role include: - CA/MBA Finance with working knowledge and at least 7 years of experience in credit underwriting for corporate clients. - Understanding of credit risk regulations set by RBI for NBFCs. - Proficiency in MS Excel. - Ability to analyze financial statements, audit reports, cash flows, leverage, collateral, and customer strength. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Demonstrated judgment and analytical skills in evaluating credit risk and other key factors. - Effective industry research and professional networking abilities.
