Sr. Contracts Engineer

Role Overview: As a Sr. Contracts Engineer in the Procurement & Contracts team, your primary responsibility is to drive the end-to-end contract lifecycle execution. This involves pre and post-award management by understanding requirements, identifying vendors, tender preparation, inviting bids, negotiation, and ensuring compliance with standards aligned to Procurement & Contracting objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Assist Category / Contract Manager in sourcing critical contracts by evaluating vendors, planning for assigned items, and preparing contracting plans - Support pre-qualification of vendors and conduct technical validation with internal stakeholders - Develop Internal Cost Estimates and float RFQ via digital systems - Study vendor offers, prepare comparative statements, and participate in commercial negotiations - Utilize technological tools like e-auction and reverse auction for efficiency - Ensure timely generation of Purchase Orders using SAP system - Set up Kick-Off Meetings with stakeholders and vendors for post-award management - Monitor resource mobilization, attend progress review meetings, and visit vendor sites - Implement change management processes, handle claims, and resolve disputes effectively - Engage with vendors regularly, gather feedback, and ensure vendor performance meets end-user needs - Support Contract Manager in creating Procurement Strategy and executing overall contracts plan - Follow policies, processes, and procedures for consistent and controlled contract work - Stay updated with market trends, suppliers, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement systems Qualification Required: - Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology - Master's in Business Administration (Desirable) - 5-8 years of experience in construction, operations, maintenance, or similar fields - Functional competencies include techno-commercial acumen, cost estimation knowledge, market intelligence, SAP platform proficiency, and legal understanding of contractual terms Additional Company Details: N/A,
