The OpportunityOur engineering team develops the Adobe Experience Platform, offering innovative data management and analytics.Developing a reliable, resilient system at large scale is crucial. We use Big Data and open-source tech for Adobe's services.Our support for large enterprise products spans across geographies, requiring us to manage disparate data sources and ingestion mechanisms. The data must be easily accessible at very low latency to support various scenarios and use cases. We seek candidates with deep expertise in building low latency services at high scales who can lead us in accomplishing our vision.What you will need to succeed8+ years in design and development of data-driven large distributed systems3+ years as an architect building large-scale data-intensive distributed systems and servicesRelevant experience building application layers on top of Apache SparkStrong experience with Hive SQL and Presto DBExperience leading architecture designs to approval while collaborating with multiple collaborators, dependencies, and internal/external customer requirementsIn-depth work experience with open-source technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Kubernetes, etc.Experience with big data technologies on public clouds such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud PlatformExperience with in-memory distributed caches like Redis, Memcached, etc.Strong coding (design patterns) and design proficiencies setting examples for others; contributions to open source are highly desirableProficiency in data structures and algorithmsCost consciousness around computation and memory requirementsStrong verbal and written communication skillsBTech/MTech/MS in Computer ScienceWhat you'll doLead the technical design and implementation strategy for major systems and components of the Adobe Experience PlatformEvaluate and drive the architecture and technology choices for major systems/componentsDesign, build, and deploy products with outstanding qualityInnovate the current system to improve robustness, ease, and convenienceArticulate design and code choices to cross-functional teamsMentor and guide a high-performing teamReview and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, design, time & budget estimates, and test strategiesEngage in creative problem-solvingDevelop and evolve engineering standard methodologies to improve the team’s efficiencyPartner with other teams across Adobe to achieve common goalsDiscover what makes Adobe a great place to work: Life @ AdobeAdobe is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
