Sr. Backend Software Engineer - Trading

.In this role, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining distributed systems critical to trading operations. You will design, develop, and deploy backend solutions that are scalable, reliable, and performance-sensitive, supporting global financial applications. Accountabilities
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and robust software systems
- Write high-quality, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards
- Collaborate across the software development lifecycle, including backend, database, and occasionally front-end components
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge with peers
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize system efficiency
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevOps best practices
- Solve complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions to enhance trading systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer, ideally in trading or financial systems
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, especially Java
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and logging systems
- Ability to work in a collaborative, distributed team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to performance optimization
- Experience in designing scalable, high-performance distributed systems
- Expertise in additional technical domains (e.g., front-end, microservices) is a plus
