Sr. Backend Engineer

As a skilled Senior Backend Engineer at Primebook, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that drive the core business. You will work directly with the CTO to design and develop backend solutions. Your main responsibility will be to design and build serverless applications using AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, and either Kotlin or Java. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying Lambda functions for event-driven applications. You will also play a key role in managing and securing AWS resources to ensure security, performance, and cost-efficiency. Troubleshooting, monitoring, and issue resolution using AWS tools like CloudWatch will also be part of your daily tasks. - **Key Responsibilities:** - Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, and AWS RDS. - Proficiency in Kotlin or Java for backend development and scripting. - Familiarity with building RESTful APIs using serverless architecture. - At least 4-5 years of proven relevant experience. - Proven track record of writing and deploying Lambda functions. - Familiarity with event-driven and microservices-based architectures. - Familiarity with security best practices and cost optimization. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills for working within cross-functional teams. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. - **Qualifications Required:** - Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, and AWS RDS. - Proficiency in Kotlin or Java for backend development and scripting. - At least 4-5 years of proven relevant experience. - Proven track record of writing and deploying Lambda functions. - Familiarity with event-driven and microservices-based architectures. - Familiarity with security best practices and cost optimization.
