Role Description

Sr. Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain

  end-to-end automation frameworks and test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, and JavaScript.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

  (developers, product owners, DevOps) to understand business requirements and define testing scope.
• Implement

  automation strategies

  for regression, integration, functional, and API testing.
• Conduct

  manual and exploratory testing

  when necessary to validate critical application workflows and edge cases.
• Write and maintain

  automated regression suites

  for new and existing features.
• Ensure

  seamless integration of automated tests

  with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions).

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship

  to junior QA team members on automation tools, coding standards, and testing best practices.
• Participate in

  code reviews

  , sprint planning, and design discussions to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
• Continuously improve test processes, identify automation opportunities, and recommend new tools or frameworks.
• Maintain clear and concise

  test documentation

  , reports, and defect tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in

  test automation

  and

  software quality engineering

• Expertise in

  JavaScript

  and automation frameworks such as

  Playwright

  TestNG

  .
• Solid understanding of

  BDD frameworks

  and API testing (RESTful services).
• Experience working with

  source control systems

  (GitHub, SVN).
• Strong understanding of

  pipelines.
