Role & responsibilities

Position Summary

SQL & Web Analytics Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize

    SQL queries, views, and stored procedures

    to extract, transform, and analyze web and digital marketing data.
  • Own data integration between

    web analytics tools and data warehouses

    (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).
  • Implement, maintain, and validate

    web analytics tracking

    (e.g., GA4, Adobe Analytics, GTM/Tealium) across websites, apps, and digital campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain

    dashboards and reports

    for KPIs such as traffic, acquisition, engagement, funnel performance, and conversions.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify

    user behavior patterns, drop-offs, and opportunities

    to improve UX and campaign ROI.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into

    measurement frameworks

    .
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across tracking, SQL pipelines, and reporting layers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with

    SQL

    (query optimization, joins, subqueries, window functions, CTEs).
  • Proficiency in at least one

    Web Analytics platform

    : Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar.
  • Experience with

    tag management systems

    (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Tealium).
  • Solid understanding of

    web tracking (cookies, events, UTMs, pixels, first-party data)

    and

    digital marketing channels

    (SEO, SEM, Display, Social, Email).
  • Knowledge of

    data visualization & reporting tools

    (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Data Studio).
  • Familiarity with

    data warehouses

    (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and ETL workflows.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret large datasets and tell clear, actionable stories.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with

    Python or R

    for data analysis and automation.
  • Exposure to

    A/B testing tools

    (Optimizely, Google Optimize, Adobe Target).
  • Understanding of

    CDPs

    (Customer Data Platforms) and identity resolution.
  • Knowledge of

    privacy regulations

    (GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on web analytics.
  • Familiarity with

    marketing automation tools

    (Marketo, HubSpot, Braze, SFMC).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.
