Job Title SQL DBA Engineer Location Pune Job Summary The SQL DBA Engineer will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. This role requires a proactive approach to optimizing database performance, implementing backup and recovery strategies, and collaborating with development teams to support application requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance. Perform regular database backups and recovery operations. Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet application requirements. Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data. Develop and document database standards and best practices. Provide technical support and troubleshoot database-related issues. Stay updated with the latest SQL Server features and best practices in database management. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a SQL DBA. Strong experience with SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and management. Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedure development, and performance tuning. Experience with backup and recovery strategies. Familiarity with database security concepts and practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e. g. , Azure SQL Database). Knowledge of scripting languages (e. g. , PowerShell). Certifications in SQL Server or related technologies.
