Sports Director

As the Sports Director at Global Schools Group based in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in fostering sports excellence, sports culture, and enhancing sports facilities across all GSF Schools in India. Your responsibilities will include overseeing co-curricular sports programs, managing sports events, leading the Sports Academy, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach towards sports development. Your primary responsibilities will involve creating a compelling vision for sports development at GSF Schools in India, setting goals and strategies for sports culture enhancement, and organizing sports events both on-site and off-site. You will work closely with the Academic function to align sports activities with the curriculum, plan resources, and manage budgets effectively. Collaboration with the Finance team is essential to develop financial budgets, track performance metrics, and ensure fiscal control within the Sports function. You will also be responsible for creating long and short-term plans for sports programs, establishing partnerships with leading Sports Academies, and coordinating the development of Gold Squads across GSF schools globally. Building strong relationships with Principals, teachers, and external partners is crucial for planning sports activities, events, and curriculum. Additionally, you will lead the recruitment, training, and development of sports coaches and PE Teachers to build high-performing teams within the Sports function. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Masters or Bachelor's degree in Physical Education/Sports from a recognized university and have substantial experience in sports and physical education. Previous experience in leading sports functions in international schools, managing international sports competitions, and collaborating with prestigious sports academies will be advantageous.
