Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders impacting vocational potential. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting functional communication for workplace settings. Conduct one-on-one and group sessions to improve verbal expression, comprehension, and social communication. Train individuals in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems if required. Address voice modulation, fluency, and articulation issues relevant to job roles. Collaborate with vocational trainers, educators, and psychologists to support overall rehabilitation goals. Educate individuals on workplace communication strategies, such as assertiveness, listening, and clear speech. Involve family members and caregivers in communication support strategies. Track progress and modify therapy plans based on outcomes and feedback. Maintain accurate and confidential therapy documentation. Requirements Expertise in speech-language assessment and therapeutic techniques. Ability to design functional, goal-oriented therapy for vocational contexts. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with AAC devices and communication aids. Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. Team collaboration in a multidisciplinary setting. Problem-solving and adaptability to individual needs. Documentation and case reporting proficiency. Knowledge of disability inclusion in vocational training environments.
