Speech & Language Pathologist

Role Overview

Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP)

– Speech & language therapy sessions (children 2–12, adolescents, young adults)

– Parent training

– Assessments and report writing

– Collaboration with psychologists, OTs & developmental therapists

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualised intervention plans.
  • Provide 1:1 and group therapy for:
  • Speech delays
  • Language disorders
  • Articulation/phonological disorders
  • Autism, ADHD & neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Fluency disorders
  • Social communication difficulties
  • Feeding/swallowing difficulties (preferred)
  • Fluency in Augmentive Alternative Communication devices
  • Use standardized, evidence-based tools (e.g., REEL, PLS, GFTA, CELF, BASD).
  • Document case notes, session plans, and progress reports according to eMbrace standards.


Parent & Caregiver Support

  • Conduct parent coaching sessions to build home-generalisation strategies.
  • Provide guidance on screen exposure, communication routines, AAC, feeding routines.


Interdisciplinary Coordination

  • Work closely with occupational therapists, psychologists, paediatricians, and counsellors.
  • Participate in supervision meetings, internal audits, and training sessions.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s in Speech & Language Pathology / Audiology (MASLP/BASLP)

    from a recognised institution.
  • RASLP/RCI registration preferred.

  • Experience with paediatric speech–language therapy.
  • Strong skills in early intervention & parent coaching.
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, ethical, and culturally sensitive approach to families.
