At Actimize, we stop bad people from doing bad things. As part of our mission to enhance financial crime detection and prevention, we are building a next-generation FinCrime Investigation & Detection system powered by external data integrations and holistic insights. We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Product Owner to lead the DataIQ initiative, shaping products that combat financial crime while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This new SaaS platform will enable our customers (some of the biggest financial institutions around the world) to create solutions on the platform to fight financial crime.

Have you got what it takes?

- 8–12 years of Product Management experience, preferably in Financial Crime, Compliance, or Financial Services domains.

Domain Expertise

- Strong understanding of financial crime regulations, compliance, and risk management.

Technical Skills

- Experience with APIs, cloud platforms, scalable system design, and data modelling.

- Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.

- Hands-on experience with complex data management and 3rd party integrations.

Analytical & Communication Skills

- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for DataIQ and FCC solutions.

- Align product initiatives with organizational goals, client needs, and innovation priorities.

- Drive roadmap definition and ensure alignment across product and implementation teams.

External Data Integration & System Design

- Identify and prioritize 3rd party data integrations to enrich the system of insights.

- Design scalable and efficient data models for external data ingestion and usage.

- Generalize requirements to follow a 'Build Once, Use Many' approach.

Agile Product Management

- Own and manage the product backlog; groom and prioritize features.

- Define detailed user stories (functional and non-functional) with clear acceptance criteria.

- Drive Scrum teams forward with actionable workstreams and milestones.

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Partner with clients, business stakeholders, and internal teams to gather insights.

- Act as the voice of the customer to ensure delivery of impactful solutions.

- Synthesize discussions into clear action items for cross-functional teams.

Regulatory & Industry Expertise

- Stay updated on global financial crime regulations and compliance requirements.

- Analyze emerging FinCrime trends to identify opportunities for product enhancement.

Data-Driven Decision Making

- Leverage analytics to assess product performance and measure ROI.

- Recommend enhancements based on client feedback and market analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of Product Management experience, preferably in Financial Crime, Compliance, or Financial Services domains.
  • Familiar with programming languages like Java, Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of financial fraud patterns, transaction monitoring, and behavioural analytics.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection systems, rules engines, or anomaly detection frameworks.
  • Experience with 

    AWS

     cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of data governance, encryption, and secure data handling practices.
  • Experience with fraud analytics tools or platforms like Actimize.
