Job Description

Elevate is recruiting a

Finance & Accounting Specialist

to join our Legal Operations team. As a Finance & Accounting Specialist, you will organize and maintain the financial records for Elevate customers and manage the day-to-day running of accounts payable and receivable.

Specifically, the Finance and Accounting Specialist will

Handle the following processes:

General ledger accounting
Trust accounting
Financial reporting
Write off and Reconciliations
New client/matter intake processes (data entry to the practice management system, conflict checking)
Accounts payable
Billing and accounts receivable
Fixed asset management

Experience

Proven working experience of more than 4 years as a Finance Accounting Specialist
Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
Excellent accounting software user
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
Advanced degree in accounting

Skills for Success

Basic computer skills, Excel and MS Office
Good Accounting background
Knowledge of Accounting tools such as Serengeti, NetSuite, ActionStep, Xero, etc.
Some experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems
Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent gram , and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers.
Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic and should be able to de strate good com sense and sound judgment
Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment

Qualifications

PG - MBA with Finance will be preferred
