Company Description

RAAH - A New Hope Begins is dedicated to providing counseling and Special Education services to children in need of specialized attention. Our programs support children with Learning Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, and other Behavioral, Emotional, and Psychological concerns. We also offer comprehensive IQ, Personality, Career, and psycho-educational assessments to assist in their development and growth. Our mission is to empower children and help them reach their fullest potential through compassionate and tailored care.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Educator, based in Mumbai. The Special Educator will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized learning plans for children with special needs, including those with disabilities and learning challenges. Daily tasks include conducting assessments, developing teaching strategies, and collaborating with parents, counselors, and school staff. The role also involves fostering an inclusive learning environment and providing additional support to meet the unique needs of every child.

Qualifications

Knowledge and expertise in understanding disabilities and working with children with special needs
Practical experience in teaching, particularly with middle school students
Strong skills in Special Education methodologies and strategies
Effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills to interact with children, parents, and team members
Patience, adaptability, and a compassionate approach to education
Relevant certifications or a degree in Special Education, Child Development, or a related field
Knowledge of assessment tools and development of educational plans is a plus
