Job Description

As a Special Educator, your role involves teaching and supporting students with diverse learning needs, such as physical, emotional, mental, or learning disabilities. You will be responsible for developing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with general educators and families, and creating inclusive classroom environments to ensure student success. Key Responsibilities: - Assess students" skills and determine their educational needs. - Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). - Adapt the general education curriculum to meet the individual needs of students. - Provide direct instruction tailored to students" learning styles and abilities. - Collaborate with general education teachers, counsellors, therapists, and parents. - Monitor students" progress and maintain accurate records. - Implement behavioral strategies and interventions when necessary. - Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. - Conduct and participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions. - Stay updated on best practices in special education and attend professional development opportunities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. - Certification or license in Special Education as per local/state/national regulations. - Knowledge of various disabilities and special education strategies. - Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. - Patience, empathy, and adaptability in a dynamic teaching environment. - Organizational and time management abilities.,
