Job Description

Job Summary: A Special Educator is responsible for teaching and supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with physical, emotional, mental, or learning disabilities. They develop individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborate with general educators and families, and create inclusive classroom environments to support student success. Key Responsibilities: Assess students' skills and determine educational needs. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Adapt general education curriculum to meet students’ individual needs. Provide direct instruction tailored to students' learning styles and abilities. Work collaboratively with general education teachers, counsellors, therapists, and parents. Monitor students’ progress and maintain accurate records. Implement behavioral strategies and interventions as needed. Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Conduct and participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions. Stay current on best practices in special education and attend professional development. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field. Certification or license in Special Education (as per local/state/national regulations). Knowledge of various disabilities and special education strategies. Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Patience, empathy, and adaptability in a dynamic teaching environment. Organizational and time management abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in inclusive education settings. Training in behavior management techniques. Proficiency in sign language, Braille, or other specialized communication systems (if relevant). Experience with students across a range of age groups (early childhood to high school). Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
