Job Description

The South Indian Chef position based in Mumbai is a full-time on-site role responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic South Indian dishes. Daily tasks include menu planning, ingredient sourcing, ensuring food quality and hygiene standards, and managing kitchen staff. Collaborating with management to develop and innovate new recipes and dishes is also a key aspect of the role. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in South Indian cuisine, including dosa, idli, sambhar, and traditional South Indian desserts. Strong knowledge of ingredient sourcing and food preparation techniques, experience in menu planning and recipe development, proficiency in kitchen management and staff coordination, commitment to maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards, excellent time management and organizational skills, and previous experience in a professional kitchen, especially in South Indian cuisine are required. Having a culinary degree or relevant certification is considered advantageous for this role.,
