Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Culinary Director/ Executive Chef in overseeing the operations of the Continental kitchen in the resort's Food and Beverage department.
  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation of Continental cuisine dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials while maintaining consistency in existing dishes.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage raw material costs to meet budgetary goals.
  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene and safety regulations in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Assist in scheduling kitchen staff and coordinating kitchen operations during service hours.
  • Able to generate additional revenue through cuisine based initiatives, within or off-premises
  • Able to perform with high level of professionalism under busy schedule and hectic business.
  • Support the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and maintaining food quality standards.
  • Take the lead in the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Sous Chef.

Keys & Skills:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent culinary certification from a reputed Catering institution.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on Continental cuisine.
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a high-volume restaurant or resort setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively with a diverse kitchen team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food preparation methods, and kitchen safety protocols

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹23,134.56 - ₹45,000.00 per month
