Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef (Asian) located in Shillong. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensure the highest quality and presentation of food, and maintain hygiene and safety standards. Responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of Asian cuisine, managing kitchen staff, planning menus, and ensuring the kitchen meets financial targets. The Sous Chef will also contribute to the training and development of junior chefs and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Culinary skills in Asian cuisine and menu planning
• Experience in kitchen management and staff supervision
• Understanding of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
• Knowledge of local and international food trends is advantageous
