Job Description

Role Overview: As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing production operations within an assigned territory in Rajkot. Your role will involve ensuring that output meets quality, cost, and delivery standards by leading end-to-end production planning and execution, implementing lean manufacturing practices, monitoring product quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end production planning and execution within the territory, aligning with overall business goals. - Prepare and monitor production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely completion of orders. - Manage capacity utilization across plants/units to optimize output without compromising on quality. - Coordinate with sourcing and supply chain teams for raw material availability to ensure uninterrupted production. - Implement lean manufacturing practices to minimize waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall equipment efficiency. - Introduce and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for production activities to maintain consistency and reduce operational risks. - Monitor and control production costs, energy usage, and downtime, identifying opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvement. - Deploy digital/tech-enabled monitoring tools to track real-time production data and generate performance dashboards. - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to drive a zero-accident workplace culture. - Establish contingency plans for equipment breakdowns, supply chain disruptions, or workforce challenges to maintain business continuity. - Monitor product quality, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure customer satisfaction. - Introduce and track KPIs such as OEE, yield, downtime, and cost per unit. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sourcing & Supply Chain, Sales & Operations Planning, Finance, and Technology to align production with business objectives. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or related field (MBA preferred). - 3-6 years of experience in manufacturing/production operations, preferably in foundry, casting, metals, or allied industries. - Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen practices. - Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment with a hands-on approach.,
