Job Description

As a Solutions Engineer at DevRev, you will play a crucial role in the pre-sales team by actively participating in the design, development, and implementation of advanced technical solutions for potential customers. Your key responsibilities will involve collaborating with various teams such as Account Executives, Product Management, Engineering Team, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success to ensure that our solutions not only meet but exceed customer expectations. Your technical expertise will be vital in the sales process as you provide support, conduct product demonstrations, and assist in developing technical proposals. Your role will require direct interaction with customers to understand their technical requirements, create custom solutions during Proof of Concepts (PoCs), integrate and demonstrate DevRev Apps with the customers" existing SaaS ecosystem, and facilitate a seamless transition to our implementation and customer success teams. Communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for customers will be key to your success in this position. Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert technical support to the sales team, addressing technical questions and assisting with product information. - Conduct tailored live product demonstrations to showcase technical features and benefits to prospective customers. - Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and work with Solutions Architects to design effective solutions. - Assist in creating technical proposals and responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs). - Analyze competitor products and provide insights on competitive advantages to keep the sales team informed. - Train sales teams on technical aspects, develop training materials, and conduct regular training sessions. - Maintain strong relationships with customers, act as a trusted technical advisor, and support them throughout the sales process. - Create and maintain technical documentation, including case studies and guides to support sales and customer use. - Customize solutions to meet specific customer needs by working with engineering and product teams. - Ensure a smooth transition of new customers to implementation and customer success teams. Qualifications for an ideal candidate: - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales or sales engineering role. - Strong technical acumen with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. - Hands-on coding experience in Python/JavaScript/Typescript. - Experience in building custom integrations with SaaS vendors" APIs. - Proven experience in conducting product demonstrations and developing technical proposals. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer engagement. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Experience in competitive analysis and market research. - Willingness to travel up to 30% based on client and business needs.
