Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect at Teradata, you will play a vital role in leading the architecture and design of modernized platforms across different environments such as SaaS, PaaS, and hybrid setups. Your responsibilities will include partnering with business and IT leaders to define platform modernization strategies for various applications like Salesforce, ServiceNow, Certinia, ERP, GCS, Finance, and custom apps. You will assess legacy systems and provide recommendations for retirement, consolidation, or migration paths. Additionally, you will define reference architectures, integration patterns, and data flows to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions. It will be your responsibility to guide engineering teams in adopting modern DevOps, automation, and cloud-native practices. You will also need to ensure that the solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOX, GDPR, and security guidelines. Your technical leadership will be crucial for large transformation programs, where you will need to balance cost, speed, and risk. Collaboration with vendors and managed service providers to validate architecture decisions will also be part of your role. Staying updated with emerging technologies like AI/GenAI, automation, and low-code platforms and incorporating them into modernization roadmaps will be essential. In order to be a qualified candidate for this role, you should possess 8-12 years of IT experience, with at least 4-5 years as a Solution or Enterprise Architect. Deep knowledge of enterprise SaaS and PaaS platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, ERP, Certinia, Azure/AWS/GCP is required. Proven experience in platform modernization, application rationalization, and migration strategies is essential. Strong expertise in integration architectures like APIs, middleware, and event-driven models is crucial. Hands-on knowledge of cloud-native services, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation frameworks is a must-have. Familiarity with compliance and governance frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOX, GDPR, HIPAA is highly desirable. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to present to executives. Preferred certifications include TOGAF, Salesforce/ServiceNow Architect, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect. As a qualified candidate, you will bring strategic thinking with the ability to balance innovation and operational stability. Your strong technical leadership skills will enable you to mentor teams on best practices and architecture principles. You should have the ability to simplify complexity by translating architecture into actionable roadmaps. Excellent collaboration skills across business, IT, and vendor ecosystems will be beneficial. Your passion for modernizing enterprise systems to drive agility, scalability, and cost efficiency, along with a vision for how AI, automation, and cloud can reshape enterprise IT platforms, will be highly valued.
