Position: SolidWorks Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SolidWorks Designer with a strong background in 3D CAD modeling, product design, and engineering analysis. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience working with SolidWorks to design complex mechanical and structural components. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, innovative environment with a team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of engineering design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering analysis and simulations (stress, thermal, etc.) to ensure product design integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and engineers.
• Review and ensure design compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Conduct design revisions and product improvements based on feedback from clients or testing results.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production.
• Conduct feasibility studies and ensure designs are cost-effective and meet project timelines.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that products meet both functional and aesthetic standards.
• Participate in client meetings and design presentations when required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design with SolidWorks.
• Expertise in 3D modeling, sheet metal design, and assembly in SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with FEM analysis using SolidWorks Simulation or similar software.
• Proficient in creating detailed technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Experience in designing products for aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, or similar industries is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Desirable Skills:

• Certification in SolidWorks (CSWP or equivalent).
• Knowledge of PDM/PLM systems and design data management.
• Familiarity with ANSI, ISO, or other relevant international standards.
• Experience with Rapid Prototyping (3D printing, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
