Solar Technician (1-2 years exp)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Commissioning:

• Install solar panels, inverters, and related equipment on rooftops and other designated locations.
• Ensure proper wiring, connections, and mounting of solar panels.
• Test solar systems for functionality and performance.

1. Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of installed solar systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair solar systems when issues arise, including electrical components and wiring.
• Monitor system performance and suggest improvements or repairs as needed.

1. Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety standards and protocols while handling solar systems and electrical equipment.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance work is done in compliance with local laws and regulations.

1. Customer Interaction:

• Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding their solar system.
• Address any concerns or issues raised by clients during installation or after-service support.

1. Documentation & Reporting:

• Complete reports for all installations, inspections, and maintenance performed.
• Maintain accurate records of system performance and repairs.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Work effectively with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:

  1-2 years in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar systems.

• Education:

  Diploma or Certification in Electrical, Renewable Energy, or related field.

• Technical Skills:

  Knowledge of solar panel systems, inverters, electrical circuits, and wiring. Ability to troubleshoot and repair solar equipment.

• Physical Stamina:

  Ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment when necessary.

• Certifications:

  Any relevant certifications (e.g., Solar PV Installer Certification) will be an advantage.

• Soft Skills:

  Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
