Solar Design Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW:

· Prepare AutoCAD project layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and preliminary design packages.

· Conduct project optimization analysis by adjusting various design parameters and major equipment to determine the optimal project layout and input.

· Review engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation necessary for project execution.

· Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) along with detailed technical specifications.

· Assist in RFP responses/bids for the Client, collaborating closely with the GM and Director to manage overall RFP response (including all technical aspects). Work closely with the Client's team during RFP response/bid preparation.

· Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical principles, PV system components, and design fundamentals.

· Ensure familiarity with local electrical codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.

· Ensure that designs comply with all applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements.

DESIRED KEY SKILLS:

· Bachelors/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.

· 4+ years of experience in solar PV system design and electrical engineering.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, PV Syst, Sketchup, MS office (Excel, Word and Power-point) and other relevant software.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Exhibit strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication for collaboration with cross- functional teams.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
