Solar Design Engineer

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Feasibility study of the site with the received data from client

2. Co-ordination with the sales team to gather the adequate information from site

3. Designing the solar solution required as per the client feedback such as Grid Tied / Off-grid solutions from kW to MW scale

4. Finalizing the solar capacity required for the site

5. Simulation of Energy data using PV SYST / PV CASE Software

6. Shadow analysis using Google Sketchup / Similar software

7. Design documents for technical submission like Array Layout, SLD etc. using AUTOCAD/Similar Software

8. Preparation of high level BOM

9. Co-ordination with various suppliers to prepare the high-level costing

10. Preparation of detailed project report

11. Technical solution presentation to the solution offered with clients & project closure

12. Supporting SCM team with proper input on the makes & ratings of the chosen products like solar panel,

inverters & batteries

13. Other detailed studies & analysis regarding solar generation

14. Coordinate proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales,

solutioning, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and project delivery.

15. Champion collaboration tools, document management and version control best practices.

16. Ensure proposal documents follow corporate branding guidelines, standard formatting, and quality

standards.

17. Interdepartmental co-ordination

18. Be flexible and agile to work on wider business projects and initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.

Experience in handling kW & MW solar design for both Grid Tied & Off-Grid solutions

• Experience in handling various softwares like PV Syst/ PV Case , Auto Cad, Google Sketchup etc.

• Excellent Knowledge about Grid tied inverters, Hybrid inverters & Energy Storage Systems

• Excellent Knowledge about the solar panel, inverters & battery OEMs

• Knowledge about Rooftop & Ground mount projects

• Knowledge about O&M of the project

• Excellent verbal and written communications & Interpersonal skills.

• Experience in working with senior management to manage delivery of timelines and outputs

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage the requirements based on priorities

• Flexible and Agile approach

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum B.E / B.Tech (ECE or EEE) preferred or Any other Engineering background with Renewable

solutions experience
