Job Summary:

Software Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to create clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  
• Conduct manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications as required.
  
• Perform different types of testing: functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and acceptance testing.
  
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and resolve defects.
  
• Execute test cases and report test results with accuracy and clarity.
  
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  

• 5 years

  of experience in software testing (manual or automation).
• Strong understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and SDLC.
  
• Experience writing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Redmine, or similar.
  
• Solid understanding of functional and regression testing.
  
• Ability to clearly document and communicate defects and test results.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with

  automation tools

  (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).
• Knowledge of

  API testing tools

  (Postman, Swagger, RestAssured).
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  
• Experience testing mobile applications (Appium, Android Studio, TestFlight).
  
• Familiarity with performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).
