Job Title: Software Quality Engineer

Location: Mumbai

We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer with 2+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. The candidate will be responsible for writing test cases and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of manual and automated testing practices, familiarity with defect tracking tools, and experience working in Agile environments. Strong attention to detail, a passion for product quality, and collaboration with development teams are essential.

Core Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyse software requirements and use cases to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual and automated test cases to verify application functionality, usability, and performance.
• Log, track, and re-test defects using standard defect management tools (e.g., JIRA or OpenProject).
• Conduct regression, integration, and functional testing across different platforms and devices.
• Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to resolve issues and ensure timely deliveries.
• Support test planning activities and contribute to test documentation and reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Ensure testing activities are conducted in compliance with the teams processes and standards.
• Analyse root causes of issues and communicate effectively with technical teams.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with manual testing, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Security Testing, Performance Testing, DB and API Testing tools.
• Basic understanding of SQL queries for validating backend data.
• Exposure to both Linux and Windows environments.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• ISTQB Foundation or equivalent testing certification (preferred).
• Exposure to version control systems like Git.
• Good documentation, analytical, and communication skills
