As a Software Engineering Lead, you will have the opportunity to guide a team of engineers, contribute to complex projects, and help set the direction on project plans, schedules, and methodologies. This role involves hands-on technical work as well as leadership responsibilities in people management. Responsibilities: - Act as the primary contact for software development queries and challenges, working collaboratively across technical and non-technical roles to clarify requirements and resolve issues. - Write and review clear specifications for system components to help tackle complex software challenges. - Translate business requirements into effective software designs in collaboration with your team and stakeholders. - Encourage best practices in software development, quality assurance, and coding standards using methodologies like Agile and Waterfall, fostering a learning-focused workplace. - Mentor and support the development of early-career engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting professional growth. - Contribute to people-management activities, including inclusive hiring and onboarding, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring a respectful and welcoming work environment. - Provide resources and support to your team, offering ongoing feedback and coaching to help individuals achieve their goals. - Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends, encouraging innovative thinking and continuous improvement among team members. Requirements: - Proficiency in Java and Springboot application development, including database integration and API and user interface development. - Experience with Github Actions, database technologies (PL/PGSQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Oracle, PostgreSQL), web and UI technologies (JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, HTML, CSS), and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). - Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ability to lead teams, collaborate with internal and external partners, and apply best practices in software engineering and data modeling. - Strong project planning, organization, and change management skills, with the ability to manage and delegate across multiple projects of varying scopes. - Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, including leading teams to troubleshoot and diagnose project issues and develop effective solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of sharing information clearly and accessibly with diverse audiences through various channels.
