Software Engineer

HPS has been developing an application for Customers Master Data Management, that is today used in Ceramics Business Unit (with 29000 customers), and that will be rolled out in 2024 on 2 additional Business Units : Construction Chemicals and LifeSciences.

We are looking for a motivated and rigorous Data Steward, to perform data preparation for CMDM implementations and functional administration of CMDM in run mode.

As a Data Steward for the Customers Master Data Management application, your role involves ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of customer data. Responsibilities include data quality monitoring, resolving data issues, collaborating with stakeholders, and implementing data governance policies to maintain high-quality customer information. You'll also play a key role in data integration, compliance with regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement of data management processes. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Key Activities:

1. Data Preparation :

   From ERP extractions for new sites, standardize the customers data, perform data quality controls and identify potential duplicates. Once this preparation work done, interact with local data owners to ensure accurate and consistent data to upload in CMDM.

2. Users Issues Solving :

   Work closely with users to understand their issues, propose solutions to solve them and implement data changes.

3. Data Quality Monitoring and Actions :

   Regularly perform data quality controls, and implement actions if results are below expectations (organize reviews, improve data quality thanks to external sources, perform additional trainings to users, propose application evolutions, ).

Profile:

• Ability to rigorously follow procedures, especially on data preparation.
• Strong skills in Excel.
• Ability to communicate and interact, in English, with users from different countries and cultures.
• Strong orientation towards users satisfaction.
• Autonomy and self-motivation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in data management or business intelligence.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
