Software Engineer in Test

As a Software Engineer in Test (SWET) at NTT DATA in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software through various testing methodologies. Your primary responsibilities will involve: - Demonstrating a strong background in Java, Selenium, Playwright, typescript, and API testing using Rest Assured or Karate. - Utilizing your expertise in Mobile View Testing and DB testing for enhancing the testing process. - Having 6-7 years of experience in software test/Quality Engineering with proficiency in different types of testing methodologies. In addition to the above, your role will require hands-on experience in Software Development in Test, proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript/Typescript/Java, automation scripting, and a solid understanding of BDD, CI-CD, and DevOps concepts. Expertise in Playwright Automation Tool, Web Browser Testing, Mobile Device Validation, and validation of RESTful web services is essential for this position. Furthermore, experience in Jenkins (CI/CD Pipelines), Graph QL, Client-Server Architecture, Cloud certification in AWS/Azure, and Service Virtualization (Wire-Mock) will be advantageous. Knowledge of Non-functional testing, including Accessibility Testing using NVDA, JAWS, Chaos Testing, and Performance Testing, will be considered a plus. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, along with expertise in Playwright Testing Framework, Typescript, and Java. Good communication skills, flexibility to work in shifts, and the ability to work from the office in a hybrid work environment are essential requirements.
