In this role, you will be responsible for delivering some of our most strategic projects, deliver large scale systems using distributed storage and database technologies and have a significant revenue growth and bottom-line impact on our business. As we build innovative payments solutions for our customers, the role provides you the opportunity to define and implement extensible, multi-faceted solutions that support region specific payments specific protocols and workflows. We are looking for passionate, experienced software developers that can lead a team of developers in delivering high quality software solutions to support variety of customer use cases and are scalable to handle amazon volume. Key job responsibilities Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonian to design, and bring innovative products and services to market. Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry. Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed. Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use. Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems. Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software. Basic Qualifications 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 6+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience 6+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
